Art for Justice
Recently, a group of 190 Aussie followers of Christ visited parliament house in Canberra to share our concerns about global poverty with parliamentarians of all political parties and to lobby for increased aid. A beautiful exhibition of art was installed as part of this “Voices for Justice” event. The works are by artists from all over Australia and are moving and provocative. If you’re in Canberra the exhibition is on until July 9. If you can’t make it in person, then check out the works via this catalogue (they are accompanied by fantastic explanations by the artists as to what motivated them to respond to poverty and injustice in their works). You can even purchase them to make the inspiration a permanent fixture of your home or office! Check them out in this downloadable pdf from Micah Challenge Australia.
