Encounter – Swords into Ploughshares: Seeking the Non-violent God Sunday 22 April, 7.10 am, and Wednesday 25 April, 7.05 pm, and Thursday 26 April, 4.00 am As we approach Anzac Day, Encounter explores the history and practice of non-violence in the Christian tradition. Despite the example of The Sermon on the Mount, it’s still considered radical for Christians today to advocate non-violent direct action in response to war and injustice. So what does the bible actually say about violence and force, and can it be interpreted in a wholly non-violent way?
