‘How much to engage’ has no simplistic answers.People can engage with the world according to their ability and capacity.The ‘good-hearted’people in the pews are engaging with the world through their financial contributions and their geniality.I have no doubt about this.I engage with the world in accordance with my capacity.I have to take into due account factors such as-how much suffering/pain can I bear;how much pressure can I bear.In addition,family men have to take into account their wives and children’s capacities.They find it difficult to be engaged in those pursuits that causes their families to feel neglected.There are a few people,who are fortunate to be blessed with family members who are totally one with them in their higher causes.Many are not so fortunate-even in christian circles.I,for one,am praying (and thinking) right now as to how to bring my family members towards supporting my courage.
