We Can Be At Technorati
Another way to get this blog into the blogosphere is using Technorati. Wecan.be is already showing up at www.technorati.com/blogs/wecan.be but we can optimise that presence.
Someone needs to register a Technorati profile and claim wecan.be. I’d do it but I already have about 15 blogs registered. Once you’ve done that you can register key words in the wecan.be blog profile. You can also add a Technorati widget that gives you an updated idea of who is linking to wecan.be
At present, all the WordPress categories are working as ‘tags’ in Technorati. To help people access the site through topics such as Darfur we’d need a system that allows for keywords for each post, added by the writer or editor. So down the track we could look at adding a Technorati tags WordPress plugin.

this is the first blog i’ve administered, so i guess it’s time i signed up
(i don’t have accounts at any of the cool places like del.icio.us or bloglines…)
the next main improvement i want to make to this site is to add a way to mark each post as being an original piece of writing (ie not a link to someone else’s article) or art (music mostly), and get those posts to float to the to for longer. it’s hard to want to write something original if you know it’s going to be swamped within a few days, and have no hits or comments.
that could go along with the keywords thing… if a post had a keyword like “song” it could be made to float up, and that would also help Technorati identify us as a venue for artists to offer their work.
