Akismet spam filter activated

I activated the Akismet spam filter plug in just now. I had to create and account on wordpress.com to ket the “API key”, but that was pretty painless.

Getting the API key means you have to create a free blog on their site. I don’t have a use for another blog at the moment. I called it wecanbe.wordpress.com – with the username wecanbe and the password planbe
If anyone wants to play with it – feel free.

thanks a lot ralph, that’s one of the things i know i wasn’t going to get around to. and i couldn’t have done it better.

if you upload your original document and link it to that post (but not the join page) a real designer might get interested…

    didn’t I do that?

why can we see be.boring posts on the front page of the site? even when not logged in?

  3. andrew says:

hey that was dumb, i replied to the wrong post.
you put a link to the pdf, but not to the document you made the pdf from. so if anyone does want to make it better, they have to start from scratch.

i don’t see be.boring when i’m not logged in. maybe you’re caching, or your browser is remembering the cookie, or the server doesn’t think you logged out…

yep – fair enough re: the pdf. I’ve posted the word doc now too.

with be.boring – when I’m logged out I can’t see be.boring as a menu item on the left (which is really clever – nice work!) but I can see the be.boring posts (like this one and the one about the credo pdf). They appear on the front page of the site when I’m logged out- even after a refresh, cache dump and new refresh
