Mental Health Pastoral Care Training Day
A cross-denominational committee of Chaplains and Pastoral Carers has organised a “Mental Health Pastoral Care” training day, and this years event is on Thursday 18th July, in Brisbane.
We have been facilitating this training day for about 15 years – it is a fantastic opportunity to network, listen and learn about topics related to Pastoral Care and Mental Health.
As well as Chaplains and Pastoral Carers, we have many other types of carers from a variety of different faith communities attend, who are caring for, and walking alongside someone with a mental health challenge.
This year’s keynote speaker, Dave Andrews, is looking at “The Challenge of Caring for Ourselves as We Care For Others”, and we have a range of interesting optional seminars that relate to mental health and pastoral care that people can attend in the afternoon.
