4. The Be-Attitudes Of The Beatitudes

This is the fourth in a series of interviews with Philippe Kiener. These interviews are accompanied by quotes from my new book ‘To Right Every Wrong’, songs and suggestions for meditation, discussion and action.

The Beatitudes are a call for people to identify with the poor in spirit; to enter into their pain empathetically; to get angry about the injustice they experience; to channel rage creatively into a struggle for justice; for that struggle for justice to be freighted with grace; to act with integrity in the midst of the struggle; but to always work for peace in the midst of war; and to suffer violence rather than inflict violence.
